The incident began at the shopping center on the 100 block of South 32nd Street in Camp Hill, Cumberland County, on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 12:29 p.m., according to a release from Camp Hill police.
Emergency crews responded to a significant gas leak, forcing all stores to close and the public to avoid the area.
As of 1:18 p.m., police confirmed the gas leak had been contained and the shopping center, along with the surrounding area, has reopened to citizens.
Some stores remain closed as crews continue to work on the utilities, officials said.
Authorities thanked the public for their cooperation during the incident.
